For some participants and companions it is quite a long journey to the grasslands of Xiwuqi, so why not spend it reading up a bit on the area you are about to visit? As it happens, a Chinese novel written by Jiang Rong is set in the vast grasslands around Xilinhot and what's more... 'Wolf Totem' is the 2007 Man Asia Literary Award winner and available in English, too!


Upgrade: registration form offline on Saturday

Our event partner has announced it is upgrading its systems this Saturday, 21 January, at 12:30pm (Singapore time) for approximately 4-8 hours,which means that the online registration for Genghis Khan MTB Adventure and Grassland Marathon will be unavailable for 4-8 hours on that day. Those people who have filled in parts of the registration form already, but have not yet proceeded to the payment terminal, no worries, all your data will be kept.

Famous Chinese runners go to the grasslands

We are proud to announce that there will be four famous Chinese marathon runners participating in next year's Genghis Khan Grassland Marathon! The four runners come from across the country and are highly popular in the cross-country running industry. They confirmed their participation to us last week.

Genghis Khan 2012: New routes for Marathon Run and MTB stage race

Great news coming from the Mongolian plains in Xiwuqi. The 6th edition of the Genghis Khan MTB & Grassland Marathon Festival, scheduled for 29 June to 1 July 2012, will get a modified design and new trails for both runners and bikers! Highlights are the one big loop of 42, 195km in the grasslands for the marathon run, and a 102km long final stage of the mountainbike stage race on Sunday.
