MTB: Last year's top 3 returns to the grasslands

The fastest 3 men overall of the 2011 Genghis Khan MTB Adventure have confirmed their participation in this year's event and as such become the hot favourites for the overall victory once again. Team Triace from Shanghai will indeed have Wang Lei, Feng Kuan Jie and Feng Kuan Gao in its ranks in Xiwuqi!

Another 5 years of Genghis Khan Festival!

It was a fantastic start of the week for Nordic Ways as the Xiwuqi Municipal Government extended the contract for the development and practical implementation of the Genghis Khan MTB Adventure and Grassland Marathon for another five years until 2017! Mr Erdenmenk, Chief Governor of Xiwuqi, and Mr Niclas Hellqvist, Managing Director of Nordic Ways, signed the agreement in Beijing last Monday.

Last-minute accomodation tips for GKF

Following numerous requests from people who still wish to sign up for this year's Genghis Khan Festival, we have collected three hotel names and contact details that you may wish to consider.

HeyRunning to give special training for Grassland Marathon

Less than 3 weeks to go until the Grassland Marathon: the mileage is in the tank, the time has come to fine-tune your engine and who can guide runners in Beijing better than Linus and the people at the HeyRunning camp.

Important: Travel Packages SOLD OUT

Important news today: our event hotels are now fully booked, which means that we are closing the sale of our travel packages today. It is still possible to sign up for the Grassland Marathon and MTB Adventure competitions, but participants from now on need to look for their own accomodation and transport options in Xiwuqi.

New course maps now online!

As announced previously, the 2012 Genghis Khan MTB Adventure and Grassland Marathon has undergone a bit of a face-lift with a lot of previously unexplored terrain now part of the three-day event. The new courses for the Grassland Marathon (42k) and the three MTB stages have been officially confirmed and the maps can now be consulted in the respective website sections.

Participant info: Race Office at Electricity Hotel

After careful consideration of all factors involved, the Organising Committee of the 2012 Genghis Khan Festival has decided to change the location of the Race Office to the second "event hotel", i.e. the Electricity Hotel. All participants in this year's GKF will thus be kindly requested to collect their number bibs and participant goodie bags in the lobby of this hotel. The Race Office will also feature all competition information, start and result lists.
